Rebels in Exile photography by Nicci Freeman

I began taking pictures as a child while traveling the world with my mother. In those early years the subject of most of my photographs was my favorite teddy bear "Sebastian" who patiently sat for me as I fumbled with my disc camera.

Since, then I have shot on a number of continents in various countries, with many different cameras from my Canon SLR to a modified Holga w/ a polariod back, to a old wooden pinhole. A lot may have changed about my style and equipment since those days, but the one thing that has stayed the same is Sebastian still travels with me, just in case I need someone to sit still.
